Azeroth Chronicles
A text adventure through the history of Azeroth. Pick Alliance or Horde, quest through a starting valley, and fight bosses that warn you before they strike.
An old-school MUD with a modern face. You read the world, type or tap what you do, and a painted scene above the story changes with the time of day and the weather: rain over Elwynn Forest, dust storms in Durotar, candlelit mines and fel-lit caves.
Pick a side. The Alliance starts at Northshire Abbey as a Human or Dwarf. The Horde starts in the Valley of Trials as an Orc or Troll. Play a Warrior, who builds rage by hitting and opens with a Charge, or a Mage, who hurls Fireballs and freezes enemies with Frost Nova.
Quest and level up. Each valley has six quests, from culling wolves and boars to clearing a kobold mine or a demon-worshipping coven, and ends with a boss. Garrick Padfoot, Sarkoth and Yarrog Baneshadow each telegraph their big attack in red. Read it and Brace in time, or take the full hit. Levels 1 to 6 in this first chapter.
Play your way. Tap the highlighted words, the minimap and the action bar, or type
classic commands like look, north, kill wolf and talk willem. On a computer the
arrow keys move you and 1–8 fire your abilities. Turn on sound for forest birds,
Durotar war drums and spell effects. Progress saves on your device.
This is Chapter 0. Later chapters travel back through Warcraft history: Durnholde, the Dark Portal, Stratholme, Mount Hyjal and the War of the Ancients.
